Visual Arts
Parke House Academy’s Art Room is brimming with color, creativity, and artistic expression while engaging both the academic left brain and creative right brain thinkers. The visual arts program educates students in a variety of genres including drawing, painting, printmaking, and sculpture.
Students are encouraged to study the work of master artists such as Picasso, Monet, Van Gogh, Cezanne, and Matisse. Their experiences come to life as they discover details about the life, style and work of each artist through our Art Historyoungs Program. This is a unique, one-of-a-kind, PHA inspired program which engages students through monthly art and music presentations.
Our students enjoy our clay studio that includes a professional, electric kiln and a pottery wheel that produces exotic glazes, breathing vessels and sculptures. Students’ artwork has been shown in local museums and art galleries and on television stations as well as recognized in prestigious art competitions.
Music
Our music program is full of harmony! Current research suggests that exposure to music is often the key to augmenting an aptitude for learning. Our program embraces exposure to a wide variety of music and composers including Classical, Jazz, Rock and Blues.
The incorporation of technology, art and history are used to enhance and ignite our music education program. Music classes at Parke House Academy are designed to foster each individual student’s creativity and skill development, while encouraging them to find their own artistic voice.
Each year our students attend a performance by The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra and participate in a school-wide Broadway-style Musical. There are other opportunities throughout the year when students showcase their musical achievements.
Performing Arts
Parke House Academy annually showcases a variety of Broadway-style performances. Our students are inspired as they actively participate in the creative process of our performing arts program. The students portray the many roles of creating, producing, and directing a school-wide performance. As a result of our performing arts program, our PHA graduates will be lifelong learners who value the arts as a dynamic contributing force that enriches not only their own lives, but also the lives of the greater community.
